BD Elite
BD ELITE
Our Blue Dolphin Elite sessions are swim team style classes. Classes range in length from 45-75 mins, will be broken down by skill level – Bronze, Silver, and Gold* (see requirements at the bottom of the page for each level). Coaches emphasize stroke technique with students using a variety of different drills. BD Elite also focuses on stamina, pace and timed sets for our swimmers to build endurance, as well as racing starts and turns.
Our coaching team prides itself on providing constant feedback to our swimmers to help them improve.
$120.00 PER MONTH unlimited enrollment (special running through March)

PRE-TEAM
The purpose of Pre-Team is to begin learning skills needed to function on a swim team independently, refine Freestyle and Backstroke, and finish learning Breaststroke and Butterfly.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of High Dolphin (Intermediate).
• Freestyle-100 yards
• Backstroke-100 yards
• Breaststroke – 50yds
• Dolphin Kick/Butterfly- 50yds
• Freestyle Streamline
• Backstroke Streamline
• Flip-turn introduction
• Dive/Start off block
• Begin using pace clock for rest period
Up to 12 students per class for 45 minutes
Instructor on deck during class.
PRE-TEAM – 45 MINUTES

Must pass High Dolphin (Intermediate) to graduate to Pre-Team

**BDSS has the right to consolidate and/or cancel a class if there are fewer than 4 students enrolled in the class.
Bronze
The purpose of Bronze is to learn more advanced skills needed to work on a swim team independently, increase distances in Freestyle and Backstroke, and refine Breaststroke and Butterfly.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of BDSS Otter Level or email us for an assessment.
• Freestyle- 400 yards
• Backstroke-200 yards
• Legal Breaststroke- 50 yards
• Legal Butterfly- 50 yards
• Flip Turn- Freestyle 75% of time
• Flip Turn- Backstroke 50% of time
• Breaststroke Underwater Pull-Out- 50% of time
• Butterfly Start- 50% of time
• Open Turns- Breaststroke and Butterfly
• Dive/Start off blocks
• Uses pace clock to track rest during workout
• Uses pace clock to track intervals
Silver
The purpose of Silver level is to master all skills needed to work on a swim team independently and master all strokes at various distances. All strokes, starts, and turns must be 100% legal before entering the Silver Group.
Prerequisite: Successfully complete BDSS BRONZE level or email us for an assessment.
• Freestyle- 500 yards
• Freestyle- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Backstroke-200 yards
• Backstroke- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Breaststroke- 100 yards
• Breaststroke- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Butterfly- 100 yards
• Butterfly- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Dive/Start any stroke
• Can follow workout given on any pace
• Time standards apply to join the Silver Group
Gold
The purpose of Gold level is to take the skills learned in Silver and perfect technique, build endurance, and increase distances and speed.
Prerequisite: Successfully complete BDSS SILVER level or email us for an assessment.
• Freestyle- 1,000 yards
• Freestyle- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Backstroke-500 yards
• Backstroke- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Breaststroke- 200 yards
• Breaststroke- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Butterfly- 200 yards
• Butterfly- Starts, Turns, and Finish, 100%
• Dive/Start any stroke
• Can follow workout given on any pace
• Time standards apply to join the GOLD group.
Platinum
The purpose of Platinum level is to build on the Gold and fine tune technique to increase endurance, distance, and speed.
Platinum Level is by invite only.
