All the fun stuff we like to do outside of lessons.
Blue Dolphin likes to host different events throughout the year. Here you can check our calendar for upcoming events such as; Safety Week, Porpoise Playtime, Easter Egg Dive, Pizza Swim Meets, and more!
Safety Week
Safety is the most important reason why children should take swimming lessons.
Our method of teaching emphasizes basic life saving skills. Here at Blue Dolphin Swim School, we conduct “Safety Week” on a bi-annual basis.
During safety week, children will take their lessons with clothes on, swimming without goggles, and the instructor will be talking with the students about how to be safe in and around water.
Porpoise Playtime
Offered occasionally in the summer. Blue Dolphin Swim School offers a “Wet and Wild” obstacle course as part of our Porpoise Playtime themed classes. Porpoise playtime is all about fun. We want to give our swimmers a safe place to splash and play and use some of the skills they have been working so hard on!
- Classes will be 55 minutes long and will be limited to 6 swimmers.
- 1 instructor will be supervising on deck or in water
- Cost is is $24 per class
- Swimmers must be “STINGRAY” LEVEL or higher to be eligible for Porpoise Playtime

Mini Playtime
In the summers, BDSS occasionally offers a parent and child swim session. We want to give our lower level swimmers (Turtle and Octopus) a safe place to splash and play with their parent in water. Mini playtime is a great way to just have some fun in the water! You can you use our boat and slide, and splash about with mom or dad.
- Classes will be 55 minutes long and will be limited to 5 swimmers and their parents.
- Classes cost $24
- Swimmers must be be currently enrolled in lessons at BDSS
- A parent must accopmany and be responsible for their child during the session
